Danker, Deborah C. is the President and founder of Danker & Danker PR and is responsible for the development activities of each team as they pertain to individual client needs. She is a native New Yorker with over 30 years of experience in marketing and the leisure industry.
Ms. Danker received a degree in Merchandising/Retailing from Greenbrier College. Her background includes senior positions in buying for Mercantile Stores in New York, international sourcing for Lerner Stores (now New York & Company) in New York, The Limited, Inc. in Columbus Ohio, G&G Shops in New York, and Fruit of the Loom in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Deborah’s international experience includes extensive contacts in the garment and fashion buying world, along with extensive media and press contacts. Her past work includes the set up of an import department for a major retailer in El Salvador and residence in Istanbul, Turkey where she worked developing an international sourcing agency that produced merchandise for key retailers in the United States and Canada.
Deborah is well known in the world of fashion as the woman that never gives up.
Since its founding in 2000, Deborah C. Danker has concentrated on the development of her own company, Danker & Danker PR. The company is involved with merchandising, consulting, marketing and public relations. Her clients have included fashion houses, name brands, film producers, record producers, authors, developing artists and well-known country legends.
Deborah C. Danker is the President and driving force behind the Nashville Independent Recording Association (NIRA), a non-profit group seeking to unite the independent labels, artists and songwriters operating in Nashville. She is also on the board of O’Moore College of design and fashion. She works pro-bono for the Texas Music Project, a non-profit. She is also currently developing a major fund raiser for the ALZHEIMER’S ASSOICATION called “NIGHT OF MEMORIES”; with a goal of raising $10 million. She currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
